We migrated all of our customers to the new host machine on May 1, 2023 in the morning. Finally, the choice was made to rely on a server powered by a Ryzen processor:

- AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 9 7950X3D (16 cores / 32 threads) (5.7 GHz Turbo)
- 128 GB DDR5 (3600 MHz)
- NVMe SSD (2 x 2 TB)

This configuration was chosen following an inconclusive trial with the i9-13900 processor which turned out to be saturated with only 12 DayZ servers running.

This is not the case with this machine which allows the hosting of these 12 DayZ servers without the slightest saturation of the processor. This allows satisfactory performance to be maintained.
Update April 12, 2023: We have made the decision to bring forward the migration to a new host machine as soon as possible. The order with our service provider was made on April 11.

We have reached the maximum number of game servers that we can host on our infrastructure. This means that sales have been stopped to keep optimal performance on our customers' servers.

A change of host machine is planned for the beginning of May 2023. This delay is explained by the fact that we must make the financial and technical preparations to ensure the smooth running of the migration.

For the new infrastructure, we have chosen to rely on Intel's latest generation i9 processors which have been available on the market since the Q4 2022. We can already communicate on the configuration we have chosen :

  • Intel Core i9-13900 (24 cores / 32 threads) (5,60 GHz / 4,20 GHz)
  • 64 Go DDR5 ECC (Upgrading to 128 GB planned later)
  • 2 x 1,92 To NVMe

On behalf of Lyd Hosting, I would like to thank you for the trust granted. The growth since the launch in January 2023 has been satisfying and it's thanks to each and every one of you.
